The process

How it works

From your first enquiry through to handover, Park & Dell guides your carpentry or joinery project through a clear process. With both services offered through one business, you have a consistent point of contact at every stage.

  1. Initial enquiry

Call us or send an enquiry through our website and tell us a little about your project. You can include any drawings or plans you have, but a brief description is all you need to get the conversation started.

    Joinery

We will discuss suitable layouts, finishes and how you want the space to work. This helps us understand your brief and prepare the most accurate quote possible. If you do not have a finishes schedule yet, we can put you in touch with one of the designers we collaborate with to help you develop one.

    Carpentry

We review the architectural drawings and engineering information from a practical site perspective. If we notice details that may need clarification or could affect the work, we raise them with you and, where needed, the relevant designer or engineer. Resolving questions early helps us prepare a clearer quote and reduce confusion during the job.

  3. Site visit

We will meet you at the property and walk through the project together. Before the visit, we will confirm what plans, selections or other information is available so we can make the most of our time together.

We will take measurements and assess the space to check that the proposed layout and design can work in practice. Drawing on our professional experience, we can also suggest practical changes if we see an opportunity to improve the design or how the space will function.

    Quote and scope

    Joinery

After discussing your requirements and gathering the project information, we prepare a detailed quote and scope of work. These set out what is included, along with any relevant allowances or exclusions, so you can see what to expect and make an informed decision. By clarifying the details in advance, we aim to reduce the chance of unexpected costs.

We review the project plans and details, then prepare a quote with a clear scope of work. Where the project covers several areas, we describe the work for each area separately so you can see what is included across the job.

Materials are delivered to our factory, where they are handled with care and fabricated for your project. Once ready, the joinery is delivered to site and installed with care, with the work completed in line with the approved plans and details.

We coordinate material deliveries and plan the work in stages to suit the site and project sequence. Our team carries out the agreed work through to completion, keeping the wider site program in mind.

  6. Completion and handover

Once the work is complete, we will walk through it with you or the project team and answer any questions. We will review any agreed finishing details, explain relevant care and warranty information, and confirm any final items that need attention.

For carpentry work, we will provide any relevant completion or compliance certificates required for the agreed scope.

Our aim is to leave you with completed work that reflects the agreed scope and details.
